Premiere by Eklekto

Eklekto, a contemporary percussion collective from Geneva, commissioned Justina Repečkaitė to compose for 4 percussion players and transducers. The premiere will take place on October 11, 2024 during the weekend celebrating the 50th anniversary of Eklekto, alongside a premiere by Adrien Trybucki.

In spring 2024, Justina traveled to Geneva to collaborate with musicians Aurele Gerin, Dorian Fretto, Nikolay Ivanov and Sarah Amar and to discover the rich intrumentarium of Eklekto.

Since her studies at Cursus Ircam 2019-2020, Justina Repečkaitė has continued her research on vibrational modes and the use of transducers. For her new piece for Eklekto, she explores phenomena of illusion while developing the idea of the sonic anamorphosis of different instruments.
